A trusted Gaywood local beside Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the pub now greets families with momo steam, roaring sports screenings, and an all-weather garden.
Chefs serve the area's only dedicated Nepalese menu—think Chicken Rum Rum (GF), Khasi Ko Masu (Goat Curry) (GF), and Momo (Chicken)—alongside comforting pub lunches.
Four HD screens keep Sky and TNT fixtures front and centre while garden heaters, umbrellas, and festoon lights make the seat terrace usable year-round.
Friendly teams welcome dogs, hospital visitors, and locals alike, often checking tables with tasters of achar or extra chilli sauce for spice lovers.

Deep dive on The Queen Elizabeth.
Location & Atmosphere
Gayton Road's former Wildfowler reopened in mid-2025 after a £100k refresh that expanded the heated seat beer garden, layered in festoon lighting, and kept the brick-and-beam pub charm locals recognise. Inside, Sky and TNT matches play across four HD screens while Sunday music and BBQ plans keep the community energy high.
Food & Drink
Lapen Inns installed the area’s only dedicated Nepalese menu in the evenings – momo platters, Chicken Rum Rum, goat curries – while lunchtime still delivers pub favourites and Sunday roasts. Taps pour familiar lagers plus spirits, making it easy to pair a curry with a pint or grab takeaway Nepalese plates.
Key Features
- Lantern-lit heated beer garden with seating for roughly 200 guests
- Multiple big screens for Sky and TNT Sports fixtures
- Dog- and family-friendly layout near Queen Elizabeth Hospital
- Community BBQs, live music Sundays, and matchday gatherings
- Only Nepalese-led pub menu in the immediate King’s Lynn area
What Reviewers Say
Guests call it a hidden gem for Nepalese dining, praising ‘flavour explosions’ and value that beats most curry houses, while also noting super friendly staff who shatter expectations set by the traditional exterior.
